Yeah..personally never had them, but my mother has, and wow....never scene her like that b4..shes pretty tough to some things..but these made her actually cry...jus driving her to the hospital was enough pain for me[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Out of curiosity..... How does it compare to a full blown direct kick to the jewels? Lets sayon a scale of 1 to 10 a kidney stone is a 10 what would the kick be in comparison?

 

Bunch of Pu$$ies. LOL J/K I'm sure they hurt but when I was 7 I had surgery for a bad bladder where they had to actually go in though the only opening at the time. I still remember after 1 1/2 of not going to the bath room and lying to the doctors so I could go home finally going, I almost fainted due to the pain. Pissed blood for 2 days. I have also had a Spermatocele and Vasectomy at the same time about a year ago. Nice 2in scar, not the standard snip and tuck. Never took any days off work or any pain pills past the first day. Did sit on frozen pees for a couple days. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Nahh I know everyone had different pain levels. I'm lucky mine is high but it has also caused me to do more damage to my body over the years and I'm paying for it now with aches and pains.

I was told this would be about 3x as bad as getting kicked in groin. Only had that happen once and I was able to walk away. Actually before the surgery it felt like someone kicked me there at least ever other month for 2-3 days in a row.

Been there done that! DONT EVER want to do it again. I have been through a good bit in life and consider myself fairly tough, but a kidney stone will put things in perspective for you in a hury! I woke up out of a dead sleep at 4:00 in the morning and HAD to go pee... well that was all it took I told the wife we had to go to the hospital I just knew I was hurting (its kind of weird you just are in pain and you know its somewhere between your lower back and your nut's but can't really pin point it)... once we were there I made the comment "give me pain killers or a gun I can't take this $hit anymore" LOL

On a scale of 1-10 compared to a "kick in the jewels" a kidney stone is a 10 and a kick in the jewels is about a 2. The kick in the jewels makes you sick and hurts for a while but then its over. The kidney stone keeps on hurting untill it comes out!

I now drink 90%water and a pop every now and then. It is one of those pains that WILL make you consider giving up coke, coffee, and caffene! LOL

Let me put it like this... Once you have a kidney stone you will then guage ALL other pain compared to it!

Well funny thing is.. i can pur that in perspective for ya.. lol ive been feeling this pain for going on 3 straight days now.. on the second day while drugged up i had just taken 2 lortabs.. and i was downstairs with my younger brother helping him build a sub woofer box.. Well.. i still am feeling the pain from my kidneys all the way out the snake and its hard not to think about the pain even iwth 2 lortabs.. But as i was cutting a board i asked him to grab the on side and i would grab the other side while we were sliding it through the table saw.. well.. he grabs the board but pulls it the wrong way towards the blad and the blade catches it on teh bottom and flips a 18 inch by 18 inch 3/4 MDF piece of wood right into my jewels.. i hit the floor but didnt cry like expected becuase of the pain killers but even while i was holding my ***** i could still feel the pain in my kidneys bright as day..

another good perspective story..

I played soccer all through my teens played comptetition and what not and everything.. One game im plaing indoor soccer and i play full back well anwyas a kids coming full blast at me and hes dribbling way to far in front of him so i run up and kick the ball while hes running full blast.. well i was known for kicking the ball pretty hard.. the ball flys up and hits him in the facedead on and he comes flying into meready to kick the ball because everything happend so fast well his foot followed through and hit me in the boys and we both fell to the ground that pain was a 2 compred to a kidney stone.. but the funny thing was he ended up with a broken nose..

another story..

cant remember all that well but i remember it hurt.. when i was about 14 my older brother that was 18 or so was out golfing. in our back yard.. well im a little pest and i went out there and started bugging him.. he didnt like that and went kamakazie.. he grabbed his 1 wood and teed up and i started running i didnt hear anything for a while so i figured he didnt hit it.. well i turn around im about 100 feet out and slam.. the ball nails me in the nuts im out like a rock bleeding out my mouth and everything.. 10 min later im back on my feet and it hurts but the pain is going away.. that pain when the ball hit was prob a 5.. kidney stones are a 10 and they last for days.

IMAGINE someone standing on ur nuts.. and somone punching you as hard as they can in your kidneys until you pass it. and it sucks because u allways feel like you gotta pee.. but u cant u just cant.. You vomit because the pain is so intense.. there is no comfortable position you find yourslef hanging upside down on ur bed , your feet on the wall and ur body on its side.. your laying in the tub trying to make sense of hte pain.. your hunched over the toilet trying to figure out whats going on.

My personal kidney stone isnt from pop..I drink mountain dew like i need it to live.. yet the doctor says thats not the problem.. THe problem with soda created kidney stones is people who drink the colas.. coca cola diet coke pepsi dr pepper the dark colas although the other ones help its mainly the big colas.....,,,,anyways my kidney stone was calcium based not becuase i drink to much milk but
A. because its heriditary and everyone on my dads side of the family has had them..
B. Becuase its belived that i have a gland thats secreting calcium fluid into my kidneys and i dont drink enough water to dissolve it.. so i gotta do a 24 hour urine collection after this kidney stone has passed and they will find out whats up and find out how to change my diet or get me on some pills that will prevent these forming in the future..

Wednesday.. yesterday was my first day of my senior year at high school.. i had to go home early to go to the doctor to get something stronger than lortab.. im home sick today hoping i can pass it because i need to strain it.. Sorry bout this long novel but i feel i have explaind a lot about kidney stones and you get a feeling for the pain..

Males can pass stones up to about 3mm in diamater..
femalse can pass stones up to maybe 4.5mm...

MY first stone which i had to have blasted.. was 8mm by 5mm.. it got stuck half way down..
