Well i just read this. And i gotta say, the whole story of yanking that string was kind of funny.

But ive yet to have a kidney stone, they just sound painful and me and my body have a full agreement not to produce diamonds.

Its a good thing i drink a half gallon of water a day. Hopefully ill be ok.

Had a buddy get one the size of a quarter. Had to blast it with sonic waves.

I passed one in May,and just took another x-ray.And i am carrying another one just waiting to pass it.I agree with all the other post about the pain,it is amazing how something so small can cause all that trouble.

Yeah.. i had lithotripsy(sonic waves) on a 5mm by 8 mm stone about 3 months ago.. than all summer i was fine. then the first day of school.. it hit me had a x-ray not as accurate on getting the size right but the doctor said it would pass and told me to strain my urine.. so i didnt and a little piece came out.. so i figured it was over because the pain was gone.. next day felt fine. but the next day pain was back.. then it was gone.. then last night at 2 am i woke up beads of sweat rolling down my face and i was dyein in pain.. so i took 2 of my "10" lortabs and was still in pain so i waited and waited tryingto sleep no way that was happening though.. so i called my mom at 4 am said "im gonna die" lol so she comes up and i talked for a min and decided it was best to go to the hospital.. i went there they ran me a iv.. and gave me some good drugs.. calmed me down and took a little bit of edge off the pian.. they gave me 4 shots straight into my blood and guess what.. they still didnt stop the pain. i was still fighting it.. (all the shots were more effective than morphene they said) so I went back in the room for a cat scan. got the results.. another stone. already in teh uriter and tis 3mm by 4mm and this one should pass without sergury.. so im home now in pain typing this message. dringking water.. hoping it will pass..

lol

Yeah and the guy that drinks a half gallon of water a day.. i wish i could get by on that i drink prob nearly 1.5 to 2 gallons of water a dayl.. (not because i try to but its natural) and im still not getting enough water to flush em out good so i gotta do a 24 hour urine collection so teh doctor can determine whats in my urine causing me to produce stones so i can get on a preventative measure..

also picture this..

i just barely turned 18 the doctors say (every single one of em) im the yougnest they have seen

yeah a lot of pregnant women get it but it usually goes away. my mom has had diabetes since i was in high school and the doctors found a stone in her the size of a golfball it put a hole through her stomach and she almost died but shes way better now
