Default 250R in 1/4 Mile

What do you think my 250r would run in a 1/4 mile with 18inch rears and around a 17tooth front sprocket. I really have no idea where to even guess and if I posted this in the Honda forum it probably wouldn't get answered. Also, anyone who drags on pavement at a track, was there any age limits? Did you have to have a license?

Thanks guys

I raced my friends mustang gt which has exhuast, gears, tb, and u/d pullies and he runs 15's flat. I beat him by about 3 car lengths so I would say my R runs a mid-high13@9sumthing mph. This was with 13/36 or 38 not sure gearing and 20'' tires. my mods at the time were v-force reeds, polished intake, pipes, ported and polished 275cc cylinder, head shaved 18cc's i think... and other little things

I go to a drag strip when I get the chance. Quads and trikes are not allowed. I think you need a license to race. They do have jr. dragsters though.

Crackhead: I had a firebird that ran 13.80 at 100mph. I could destroy a 15.00 car.

Your buddy's 'Stang sounds like a dog. Even stock he should be able to hit around a 14.40 unless it's an '84 or something. Even the TBI swirl-head 86' GT will run high 14s stock.

My friends V-6 mustang, only mods are some wide aluminum wheels and tires, new rear end gear (cant remember what) and pipes + cai. It runs in the 15s... Before the rearend though it ran in the 17s so... I dunno, im guessing a slightly modded 250r prolly runs 15 somethings too.

its a 98 the 98's only come with 225hp at the flywheel so 15's is about right for his car, its the red one in my photo page. Mine on the other hand runs 13.7@100mph and its STOCK hows that for a 260hp car.

Still, an 98 with mods should get into the 14s no problem. Unless it's Car&Driver doing the testing, then it would run a 16.6 @ 74mph. i would guess you're buddy is having problems with traction off the line to hit the 15 second mark. Heck, my father's 98 Pontiac GTX (Grand Prix Daytona Pacecar) runs a 14.2.

I saw an '04 Cobra run a 13.2 a few weeks ago, right off the truck, pretty sick.
