Default Re-threading axel for spindle nut

Hey,

I the process of trying to get my axel out to replace bearings I kinda damaged my chain-side axel end. The nut I can replace easily, but has anyone ever re-threaded the axel end?? If so, do you know what size thread and what pitch? I'm presuming it's a regular metric thread of say about 13 or 14mm .. anyone know for sure?
