Default pilot jet??

here is what i have so far
2001 raptor 686 kit
port/polish
185/190
4th clip
25 pilot jets
3 turns out on screw
proflow air filter w/lid and rear of air box removed
3000' elevation

i have to leave the idle up high or it will die on deceleration, does this mean i need to go up on the pilot jet to a 27.5?? and how many turns can you go on the fuel screw before it's to many?????

thanks...

I've got the same problem, I am thinking it is my float level. But I havent check it yet. I'll get out in the shop tommorrow. I am interested to hear what the problem might be.

Default pilot jet??

should have mentioned that i have checked the float levels the best i could, did the clear tube method for fuel level and than i measures the flosts at app. 13mm, guess i can try just a little more bend on the tab,

04LERaptor - did you put it in the shop for that reason or for something else??

i was just hoping i was not the only one in jetting he$$, when it runs, it really runs, and strong too, but the bogging and now this little problem, sure can drive ya crazy.....

Nah...I meant go out to my shop (garage) and work on it myself. I am going out there now. I haven't checked my float levels but I think that is my prob. Here is a good link with some carb info that is a good read:
