My Kenz built 727 has been bulletproof for 1 1/2 years now. If done right, a built motor should have no more problems than a stocker. Mine was built for reliability, and it has more than lived up to my expectations.

As for power output, it's nearly double of what a stock Raptor puts to the ground.

What kind of a arms are you looking to buy? If you ride trails i wouldn't go with the LT a arms, but i am pretty sure Herman offers a +2 that is standard travel for the the yfz so you would have to check about the Raptor.

Hope you don't spend all of your money on one thing but a whole new front isn't gonna be cheap especially if you go with LT a arms and LT shocks.

Stay out of the motor unless you have alot of coin extra to spend, it turns into a landslide of problems, I had to get rid off my 2003 becuase it was draining me and you won't be satisfied after spending all that cion on the engine compared to the input od coin compared to the output of HP.

I realise replacing axel, arms, and shocks is going to be pricey, that's why I've got $3000+ saved up.

...but I still want to go into the motor, not anytime soon, just sometime this winter.

I would just put a cam and 11:1 piston in it. A axle is a must it was the best thing I put on mine. Where in Alberta are you from?

Would you guys agree that for most people, unless you have to be the fastest, a Hotcams Stage 1 and a Weisco 11:1 would make most people happy when it comes to motor mods? Surely, those two can't make much a negative problem as far as reliability goes, right?

maybe, maybe not remember stock compression is 9:1 a jump that high with the stock rod who knows, ive seen it looks like forged crappy steel
i havent seen any rods for atvs unless it was a banshee but something stronger wouldent be a bad idea
