Racing Gas.

Can you run racing gas in a stock Banshee motor. Say like 110 octane? I was at Silver Lake recently and that's all they had there, It really seemed to wake the motor up, but I was wondering if this is bad for it? Thanks for any info.

Its a big waste of money on a un-modified engine. There is usually little to no gain, and in some cases it will make a bike run like worse. Stock bikes are made to run on super unleaded pump gas. You may have some allright results running 50/50 race gas & pump. I wouldnt waste the money!!!

I'll back up that last post. There's no reason to spend money on what you don't need. The only benefit to running race gas on a stock compression motor is that it runs cleaner than pump gas - woohoo! Less residue is not worth $4 per gallon.
The actual amount of power produced with pump vs. race fuel is very little on a stock compression motor. If the motors compression is increased, the power level rises and at some point, the fuel being burned will limit how high the compression will be. That's why race fuels are made - to allow for higher compression and thus higher efficiency which means more power.
Race fuel won't hurt anything, but it won't help a stock motor at all.
