Raptor Steering Problem Please Help!!
#11
A low speed roll not caused by hitting something will not cause a arms to bend. It wont even cause tie rods to bend unless you have offset rims and the bike was forced onto one wheel.

it doesnt matter what the speed, a raptor weighs in around 450 lbs and when you put the wrong amount of stress in the wrong place you gonn abreak something. My crash at 50 did even move my steerting stem, but i bent the stock bars all the waydown to the plastic on the front fenders. steering stem is not a week link, IMO. However the aluminum a-arms are very easy to bend, you dont know what your talking about if you think a-arms are hard to bend. aluminum is so easy to bend, only the upper a-arms on the raptor are alum. though.

It sounds like you can adjust the problem out of the front end. This is the only way that worked for me. Park on a level surface. Get some tie downs or strong bungee cords. Next, put the tie downs on each side of the bars and attach the other end too the grab bar. Tighten them up, and the bars need too be perfectly straight too. The tie downs will keep the bars straight while you are adjusting. Next, measure the difference between the 2 front tires at a common point (middle of tread), midway up in front of the tire. Keep this number in mind. Next, measure the distance between the rear of the tires midway up from the rear of the tire. NOW, if only one tire is not pointing straight, the tire thats not pointing straight needs the tie rod adjusted. If neither tire is straight, you will have too adjust both tie rods. Remember, the thread pattern for the tie rods is backwards. Take your time and get your measurements the same....or adjust toe in or toe out too preference. If I remember correct, 2 12 millimeter line wrenches was all that was needed. Again, thats what worked for me.

I can attest that the front end of the Raptor is very strong. The top a-arms may be aluminum, the the overall set-up is solid. Crash tested strong...

My family has crashed, flipped, rolled, pancaked, tipped, smacked, collided, and done quite a bit to our raptors. Stock steering stems, handle bars, and tie rods are weak. My cousin took a tree at 35 that deformed the front right rim so bad that the tire came off the bead. Wheel was the only thing damaged. My father took a log at 45 in a trail. Bike needed new bars and one new tie rod. He spent a month in intensive care. I have flipped mine numerous times at different speeds. Once I put a stronger set of bars and steering stem on, nothing has broken. I pancaked with a 40 foot drop off a dune. Rear subframe bent, both left tires came off thier beads. Broke a shockmount because i was running a front lowering kit. Rode all day on it without even an idea that it had happened. Still beat every pipe raptor at the dunes that day with my piped raptor.
There are more instances, but you get the point. A arm problems are very few and far between. It takes an extraordinary circumstance to damage the major front end components of the raptor.

My wife lightly rolled her raptor doing donuts and nothing bent but the cheap stock steering stem. The groves on the bottom of the stem are extremely week and can't be fixed. I recommend you look at the groves on the stem. I bought a Lonestar stem with anti-vibration clamp and replaced her bars because the after market stem with clamp sit about 1" taller then stock and your cables will be at there limit. You may wan't to look at some after market dashboards for your bar clamp to hold the lights and key. Good Luck!

Thanks for everyones help. I don't think it's the stem because it's only on the left side. I looked at at the A arm and it does not look at all bent. I don't know what the hell it is for how much I adjusted the tie rod(4 or 5 threads) I don't lknow if I would notice it being bent. I took measurment and it showed nothing out of the ordinary. So I'm dumb struk!
