Big Bear snow question

Default Big Bear snow question

I gotta 03 bb 4x4 and i want to be able to go up steeep hills in snow!!! I saw snow trax but they cost over 3 grand so my question is what will help me better = CHAINS ON ALL 4 WHEELS OR 2 CHAINS IN REAR AND 2 SKIS IN THE FRONT WITH DISENGAGED 4X4

Default Big Bear snow question

A good set of tires will go along way. Anything that is good in mud will be good for snow. Chains will help a little but in deep snow they don't help a whole lot because the chain is intended for slippery surfaces. I haven't seen anything with the ski's on the front but heard that they work alright.
