I was wondering if there is an in-line screen on one of the drain tubes from the oil tank that needs periodic cleaning. I have the Raptor maintenance manual and it doesnt mention a screen. My honda 400 ex has one. If there is one, which tube is it located in? Thanks

 

ive had mine off and no there isnt one, ill double check and hit u back later tho

 

there is a screen attached to one of the tubes but dont remember which one! i took mine apart for paint but its been awhile!

 

yea there is a screen its in the line that feeds the oil to the motor ... i have to get a new one

 

Clean the screen at least once a year. It can get plugged up. Some people change their oil by taking the line off and not the drain plug, due to the drain plug is easy to strip out.

 

do you reccomend taking the line out ot undoing the oil drain plug?

 

Saves you replacing an oil tank. But it is messy.
