I gotta tell ya man.....it is like a bed of marbles...thats the only way I can explain it....small chunks of volcanic rock for miles on end...and ROOSTKING...you are right...the Rapfam group is an A1 class group to ride and hang with.

The "soil" is actually small lava rock!!! The Cinders is situated within the Sunset crater and the entire area is covered with marble size lava rock. Very loose and very dusty!! this stuff hurts REAL bad if you get hit with a roost (I can only imagine the pain RapFams sister is in today) and is hell on painted parts, but the Cinders have some of the steepest and longest hills you may ever see, and ride.

That was you ROOSTKING!!!!! When you said your forum name to me, I heard something else??? Thank you so much for the compliments. The races at the end were a lot of fun, we hung out for quite a while, we should camp closer next time.

You are right, Ken did tell me at the end that it was a 370 LR (my fault) I heard 420 at first and it stuck. He did have paddles too... I'll post the first race when howard's bike had paddles and my dad had knobbies... he was literally half tracked, that shows how much paddles help you up there, you are almost TWICE as fast.

I think the next time I will be out will be thanksgiving

another thing I notice is that Howardsterns bike looks faster than yours in the videos, but you manage to win a few[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

maybe this will go to explain how certain YFZ's lose to brand X stock...It comes down to the rider sometimes[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

and it doesnt matter how fast your bike is if you cant drive it perfectly everytime=you might not be as fast as you think[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
