What is so bad about MX on a banshee????
#1
Well I have been observing everyone say how the banshee isnt made for MX howe the frame is weak or to much power or whatnot and im just curious if this is true?
If so can someone explain the downsides that the banshee has to this type of racing?
Any replies will be well apreciated.

well the wheelspin could easily be countered with some good ITP holeshots. and as far as the handling, they really need to work on it, as far as ridong on a mx course, all the shapr turning and whatnot. same with suspension, its pretty stiff, needs to be upgraded

then rig a seat to your grab bar and sit a 250 pound guy on there, thatll give ya some traction

A banshee can be a good mx machine, as can most others, it just depends on what you want to put into it. The stock shocks are crappy, indeed. That's why I run Elkas, and that's why Doug Gust runs Elkas. You don't see John Natalie running the stock shocks either do you? As for traction, the Banshee has enough uumph to gear up a little. If you build the motor for more low/mid you can pull a higher gear and still have lugability, and help decrease wheelspin. I can be in and out of the woods on mine in 2nd and 3rd lugging, hit a straightaway, blip the clutch and beee goooooonnne!! It is a little more tiring than a new thumper, but I'm a 2-stroke kinda guy.

nothing so bad its just there are other bikes that are better setup for mxing .just differnt applications for differnt bikes.stock banshees shine on straight lines and in the sand dunes in my opion.but it doesnt mean they cant be setup for other ridding conditions too
