LOL! niether will I Honda thinks its going to have better sales with the 400EX looking exaclty the same as the 450R and adding something as standard as reverse and a fraking brake light. Honda was better of leaving the old design and doing something more innovative to the 400EX. I was wanting a 400EX with its cool looks but I just realized how very wrong it would be to buy the new one.

 

Anyone notice that the 400 ex has reverse now?

 

i dont have a problem with the raptor 350 but the new 400ex is stupid and its for posers who want people to think they have a 450r

I was actually thinking in regards of improvements that Honda did the better job than what Yamaha did. All they did for the Rap 350 was remould some plastics and put a few other wingdings on to make it look raptorish .. performance wise, they really didn't do much to the old Warrior other than a slightly different style carb and a weight reduction program.

Honda, on the other hand, took an already great quad and added a feature that lots of people seemed to be calling for .. reverse.

I think they should have either kept the old plastics or refined them a little, but look-a-like bikes are getting old. I think Yammi's got the title for that tho .. raptor sport line up .. even the 450 looks like one [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] well .. at least it's not called the Raptor 450 eh?? LOL

 

Honda also added a 38mm carb to the 400EX.

 

You guys are missing the point...The manufacturer's are looking to sell to "JOHN Q PUBLIC" who don't read these forums..they want their lower models, i.e. raptor 350, and trx 400 to catch their eye. And they will, just like last week at Allegheny, the Rap 350 was the greatist thing on 4 wheels to it's new owner, but you and I know it's a warmed over warrior, but to the guy who bought it , you couldn't tell him different. Same with the new 400EX buyers.
These are the people who buy tons of quads who make the manufacture's a bunch of cash, and we sit back and bitch about what they did wrong.

 

Oddly enough, I think th Banshee is one of the best looking sport quads if you hack the front fenders and ditch the heel guards. Call me weird, but I'd trade my Rappy for one.
