Default will i be happy with a wolverine?

any of you wolverine owners out there i have some questions. i m looking to buy a wolverine and have found a lot of reviews with positive statements but i have read some reviews that say it is not at all utility, just sport.i do a lot of trail riding ,woods, hunting, and would like to plow some snow with it. i sold my big bear which i liked ecept for it wouldnt keep up with the bigger quads like prairie 650 grizz 600?660scrambler 500s,ect. will it keep up with these, and will it plow snow?im concered that the gearings to high for snow, and maybe puting 25 inch tires to replace 23 factory size.

you may want to look in to some mods.. raceing there is no way you will be abile to keep up with the bigger bores. but on the trails you will have no prob hanging with them.. as for snow plowing you should be fine. look in to a full diff locker, as will as a 2wheel on locker.

A stock Wolverine will go 55 no problem, a Big Bear 400 is geared for work, the Wolverine will leave it way behind. With some mods and bigger tires, 60 should be no problem. I use mine to pull a mower, drag deer, pull logs, as well as trail ride real fast, even raced in a moto cross !! I have been very happy with mine all these years, yes there are bigger, faster quads, but the Wolverine is a great do-all mid sized quad.

The Grizzly will go faster but will not handle as well as the Wolvy on the trails for high speed riding. I got mine because I wanted something that can ride with the sport quads but I also go hunting and wanted a little utility usefulness as well.

I have one in mine, it gives a nice boost.

Of course the stroker kits will give even more.

The 600 grizzlies are pretty quick I dont think you'll be able to leave them in the dust or anything but i know on trails mine sucks....

The WOOLY is a great little ATV! We've got a Banshee, DS650, YFZ450 and a Wooly! The Wooly mods were as follows: We put on a after market pipe, Put filltered air holes in the air box lid, installed ELKA SHOCKS and put on some ITP tires & Douglas red wheels (HD) and a DYNO jet kit. The little WOOLY hauls *** and we use it around the ranch and take it everywhere we take the other bikes. My wife loves her WOOLY and with 4 wheel drive and reverse she never gets stuck. We pulled apart the swingarm and rear and front axles and made sure everything was greased properly. We also changed all the Differential lubes and put REDLINE. For the Price and performance you can't go wrong. It handles a lot better than the BIG 4X4 ATV's and still has the overall top speed. We'll buy another when we wear this one out. Buy a Service manual and stay away from K&N air filters and they let too much dirt into the motors. I would never run a K&N filter unless it was at the north pole. None of my Baja 1000 racer buddies use K&N filters as they are motor killers. K&N has a great Marketing program and many people have been duped by the scam. They sure flow great and they also flow so well as they let all the dust in as well!

Good Luck
