Grizzly 660 vs Kingquad 700!!!!!
ANDY,
I dont really have cash to ''burn'',however, there is nothing in my life that I cherish more than ATVs[with the exception of my family]...I will allways have one of the biggest displacement and what ''I'' decifer as one of the ''baddest'' ATVs that is available, even if that means changing every yr or two.The new KQ is one that I will take a real hard look at when it arrives in the showroom floors.
Some folks collect baseball cards, some like old cars, some like golf, ect, ect, ect,
I just LOVE ATVs.
Bill

My problem is I like a lot of different things so my money gets spread to thin.
If speed is not important than why get a big bore quad at all? I do not think it is for speed but rather speed is just a bi-product of power, is it not?
Also I have read a lot of complaints on Grizzly axles breaking is this just another flaw that has plagued the other atv's the same?

A utility quad with the speed of high-performance quads & the ability to go where high-performance quads can only dream of going and not to mention...pulling & carrying heavy loads.................... This is my Quadzilla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grizzly axle thing is old news and has been corected on the 04 model. It was a bad batch of axles on the 03 models. You are partially correct when you say that speed is a by product of power. RPMs of an engine really dictates how fast you go top end. The power part deals more to do with acceleration. My stock grizz will hit the rev limiter in high gear at about 66 mph and after installing the pipe and K&N my top speed didn't change because I still couldnt rev any higher because of the rev limiter I was just quiker getting there.

I am thinking the rev limiter bypass that you see on ebay all the time is a hugely bad idea. I did remove the throttle screw from my grizz last year and that is about as fast as I want to go. I am not taking it out on the interstate, highways yes, interstate no. The speed limit is 65MPH on the highways here, so it's plenty fast enough for me. This message is for Sparky660. I see you have the 27" ITP 589's on your Grizz. Do you have any problems with rubbing or did you have to install a lift kit? I was thinking about buying the same tires and I would appreciate any comments or suggestions...
Thanks

I didn't install the lift kit because the tires only rub a little on the rear. When I'm blasting down a trail fast or hit a nasty bump they will hit. I notice less and less because the plastic is worn off but not enough that it looks unsightly. I weigh about 280lbs so for anyone lighter than that it shouldn't be a problem.
