sixsixt had one awhile back for sale. I have been told that you can have the edelbrocks bored out and that is the route I think I am going. Does anyone know different?

Yeah I had three. One is on 1badraptor's with a Lectron. I sold one to somebody else mounting a Lectron and I have one left but I don't know if I want to sell it.

1bad's is a 48HV but I think a 46 would be fine for a 686 or smaller.

I might do that gottago. What carb are you going to use, an edelbrock?

Dont know yet, if I can get Edelbrock to bore this one out, I might keep it. Hell, I got it for free ( traded my old carbs to a buddy ). For that price, if I dont like it, I will upgrade to a lectron. I just need to know how large they can bore it. Does the lectron have an idle circuit? The Edelbrock doesnt and man do my pipes glow red at idle!!!!

You can get an idle air bleed on the lectron but it's just for very minor mixture adjustments. Either of those carbs the idle mixture needs to be set mainly with the needle adjustment, the bottom-mid and high end are adjusted by using different needles.
You need to call Duncan Racing about getting the Edelbrock bored. I'm pretty sure the Edelbrock has a tapered bore, just anybody can't do them if that's the case.
