Something else for your information .. trailtech customer server is awesome!! I had a faulty cable after about 8 or 9 months and the unit stopped functioning. I wrote directly to them with my problem and simply told them that I'd had the unit for less than a year and now it wasn't working.
The got back to me in under 3 hours (I'm 4.5 hours ahead of them I think) and suggested a few things to check out. I checked those things and reported my findings. The figured it to be a faulty cable and dispatched one to my address right away. I put on the new cable and it works fine again now. Apparently they had a faulty batch.
I live in Newfoundland, Canada and supplied no receipt or even any other proof of purchase. They had no trouble with helping me out and that meant a lot. If they were all that good life would be awesome!!
