I don't know about that Gas Gas... The pics I have seen show very wide lower control arm mount spacing and a serious discrepency in the contol arm angles vs tie rod angles. The concept of the machine is good, hope the execution is better than the prototype, looks to me like they still have a lot to learn about quad chassis'....

My local Cannondale/GAs-Gas Dealer is w/in 15 min. I asked a while back when the fx400 was expected. I was told late Oct. Early Nov. w/ a $6500-$7000 price tag. They ordered 22 quads and said they werent expecting but 2 or 3. Go figure.............

As of right now, our city doesn't have a Gas Gas or Cannondale (only pedal bikes) motorcycle shop. But we do have a really good Kawasaki dealership, and a pretty good Yamaha one as well. The Honda/Suzuki one here in town is a bit to expensive with their products.

Having a good dealership will be a very big selling point for me. But I'll probably wait another year before I decide to buy.

What magazine on the net?

Keep in mind that peak torque and peak HP occur at different RPMs.

Scooby,

Yes, I'm aware, they just cross each other at 5252 rpm. The peak torque could come quite a bit later or earlier than the DS resulting in very different performance.

I only have a few things to say first off, Cannondale, have any of you been paying attention to the National MX scene? Cannondale hasnt finished a points paying race yet let alone place, over-hyped pile of you-know-what!! And secondly I just got a Raptor and raced it with/against my fully modified Banshee, its gonna take a lot of work for a Raptor to beat a modified Banshee. We did 1/4 mile races, MX, and hillclimbing, and a little TT racing and the Banshee won with considerable eaze, but its not a fair comparison, my Banshee is modified in every way, the only things that are stock are the gas tank and rear plastic. The Raptor is still the most impressive stock bike I have ever seen or ridden, it rips! But I still think 2-strokes RULE!!!!!!!
