Default Raptor clutch

my raptors clutch is dead. i have been planning on boring it and i knew it would need to be beefed up
my plans as of now are a 686 by sometime in january
is it worth it to go ahead and get the hinson clutch, springs, billet hub, billet pressure plate, and billet basket
if so i have no problem getting it, but are there any better on the market.
also how hard is it to replace all of this. i am planning on doing it myself unless anyone has had horrible experiences tryiong to do this
any heads up warnings i need to know

thanks

Go with the GYTR clutch pack(comes with spings ,fibers and steel plates). I have tried others and they did not hold up. I have been more than satisfied with the GYTR. Most here will agree they are the way to go. I do not believe the the other stuff is a real need unless you plan on major mods and racing. I run a very strong Craycraft 686 with the GYTR clutches and have not had any trouble and I beat the crap out of them. Ususally you can get a set for about $100.00 with shipping.

ASV levers are good but pricey.(start at $60.00) Go with the Applied racing lever and perch. ($29.99) It has the quick adjust and is identical to the PEP pro perch. The wires are simple, follow them back to their origin, you disconnect one completely from the female end, the other one is two wires. They connect directly into one another w/ Yamaha's connectors. Hope this helps.

I found mine at the local motorsports place. Try a search for Applied Racing.

The work pretty well, but if you roll the bike they will break easier than the stock setup will.

my clutches in my yamaha raptor were sliping and my buddy works at a yamaha dealership and some guy orderd gytr clutches for his raptor and then called in and canceled the order so we got them an put them in my raptor and it just came alive. i did have barrnett in the but they did not even compare to the gytr clutches they are awsome. im talkin it pulls hard throught every gear and never lets off.

gytr is the best way to go.
