I bought a 2000 Wolverine at an auction, (so I think) here's the problem:

The VIN# on my ownership and ATV dont match. The seventh number is a "W" on the ATV but a "V" on my ownership (what does the 7th number mean? Is it the model year?. As you can see in picture#2 is the production month is 05/99. Did I buy a 1999 and not a 2000 Wolverine? Can you tell the differance between a 1999 and a 2000 Wolve? If yes, please look at my first pix and let me know if the ATV looks like a 99 or a 2000?

Thanks

I'll be calling Yamaha and the place I bought it from in the morning, but I wanted to get the formes input first.:

I believe that 5/99 is the manufacture date not the model year. For instance, most if not all 05's have already been built in 04. If I'm correct on the manufacture date, then yes, you have a 2000 model.
