Well My banshee is still runnin like Sh*%!!!! I have taken the carbs off sooo many times and cleaned them and checked the reeds...It still is breaking up and backfireing..

What should i do? any help?

I was going to buy a set of used carbs off EBAY...Since i think mine r junk..That is the only thing i can think of doing!!!

ALSo: Does it matter if the tube that goes behind the choke and goes to the other carb isnt connected? It was there when i bought this quad..please help!!

 

i found out with a kfx400 that if you dont have all the breather hoses and the all the lines hook up in their orignas position it will pop like you talking about

 

Thanks.. maybe thats it..Also the choke doesnt stay out when u pull it.. Donno whats going on with that also..

Think i should just junk these carbs? anyone?

that little tube in between the carbs is your problem.... i went through the same situation!

 

The tube that connects the two carbs is to choke the 2nd (right side) carb, since it doesn't have a ****. I have forgot to put it on before and it didn't run very well.

Sometimes you have to start replacing parts. I would buy a Rebuild Kit for them.

 

You need to hook that line up between the carbs....

The choke not staying out is a common problem with banshees...the groove that holds it in place gets worn out. It should be fine...you just need to hold the choke out till the bike warms up. A replacement choke costs around $40.
