Default Torque wrenches?

Hey guys i need to get a torque wrench for the banshee, can you help me determine which one to get? What size should i get on them? Sorry for such a novice question if it sounds like it, i just want to be exact when tightening up parts on the motor (unlike many that i know!) so let me know what you use.

thanks

Get one that covers the widest range of ft-lbs that you need. I suspect that a lot of your engine parts will have relatively low ft-lbs requirements .. You need to know those values before you select one.

Then you need to know whether to get a 1/2" or 3/8" drive unit.

Sears sells them for about 70 bucks. I have the 3/8 drive unit and it works great. It goes up to 100 ft. pds. and that should be fine for 99% of all your needs. I have a cheap 1/2 drive version I use for torqing lug nuts on my vehicles at 100 to 125, but I doubt that you will need that much torque for a four wheeler. The lug nut torque is 40 ft. pds.
