numbers are one thing, sack size is totally different, who cares, pick you body style and favorite color, third gear pinned, no on can read the sticker on these things anyway.

 

My riding buddie has an 04 pred, my 05 raptor smoked his bike by 5 bike lengths in our 800ft drag strip. He started running pure avgas and then it was who ever got the best jump? Now,we both have K&N filters,HMF pipes and jetting. Were going out tomorrow to the dunes to test them out, I'll let you guys know what happened tomorrow night!!!

 

Sorry to burst your bubble but avgas isnt going to do a thing for any machine unless its already suffering from predetonation. And since a stock yfz runs fine on premium, I really dont how avgas could make any difference at all.

 

It's gotta do something, I whooped the pred until he put in straight avgas. More octane!! more power??? makes sence to me. talk to you later maddog

 

PREIMUM!! are you crazy!. out where i live its 2.60 a gallon. i can't afford that if i race every weekend. regular works just fine for me

maddog is correct, more octance doesnt mean more power... matching the octane to compression is what makes the most power.

geez... you shoulda bought a used quad then... with the compression on a yfz premium gas is a must.
