Default Banshee is still runin like $hiT

Well i am about ready to sell this damn banshee..It has been backfireing, cant seem to fix that!!

Also it leaks out the over flow, cant seem to get that fixed...

And now it seems to be dripping nti freez out an overflow onto my pipes...

soo its backing fireing and breaking up while i am riding it and it is driing anti freeze onto the pipes.. i thought the anti freez is soppose to go into the over flow tank? or is there 2 over flow tubes?

Also what is the compression soppose to be ?

Please help me out..or if anyone is close to me and could take a look at it..

Is this a brand new shee or not? If its used then a lot of these problems are the fault of whoever owned it before you. Mine's brand new, I've never had any of those problems, although my antifreeze does seem to be disappearing, but not onto my pipes. The compression (unless it's modded) should be 6.5:1. Sorry I cant help ya more, good luck though.

Yeah i got my shee used .. i got it cheap..atleast i thought $1000.00 bucks for a 98 is cheap with a title..It had a blown clutch when i got it..The person befor me didnt really take care of it it too well..

Soo i thought id fix her up.. has fmf pipes fmf reeds, 260 jets. some after market axel, and some other goodies..Well i put a clutch in her and she drives now.. and i replaced the crank oil seal caus ethe clutch made the seal all cut up..sooo now she drives,, just back fires.. and breaks up..Will it hurt anything if i take it out for a long ride?

The reason antifreeze is coming out on to the pipes is because it's overheating and it has no where to go. The reason it's overheating is becasue it's lean. The reason it's backfiring is because it's lean. So, fix your lean condition and you got it made. If you take it out for a long ride, chances are you will either warp the head from overheating, or put a hole in your piston from the lean condition.

Now, is your lean condition because of an air leak, because of jetting or what? I have a lot of experience with jetting these bad boys and the first thing I'd do is throw in some 300s or 310s and see how it runs. Seems like you mentioned something about this in your other thread, but I don't remember. 260s are too lean unless your up at a higher elevation.

i order my jets from Carbparts.com. They're reasonable, and you can get them from RockyMountainATV.com as well.
