Dane, thanks for the props. If your running alky I don't think I'll be able to stay with ya but who knows. Don't pump it up to much, what if I lose. . But that's ok, I don't have the fastest 686 around so no biggy to me.

Hope the sand isn't wet, it slows me way down. See, making excuses already.

Hell my bike is stock bore and I've beaten faster riders and bikes than you. Too bad I'm nowhere near that side of the country, but it sounds like there are plenty of people who are willing to hand your a$$ to you. Have fun!!

So much of this crap is the riders I don't know how you guys factor that in when your talking about 1-2 bike lengths being a "noticeable gain"

Hey Master Raptor, a desent 686 has no problem beating YFZ's. ie: at one track up here a stk YFZ runs 5.7.5.8 in 300ft a 470CC YFZ with stk exh, baffle and air box lid removed runs 5.5-5.6, our 50 RWHP YFZ's run 5.3-5.4. (exhaust, cams, porting)
Our 60+ RWHP 686's on pump gas runs 5.2's-5.3's on the same track.

The Raptors weight doesn't catch up with it on a short flat land race. Those have been you experiances, so I wont try to argue with you. If you however took that same YFZ and Raptor to some of the very steep and long sand hills, I think the results would flip flop. Flat land isn't where the YFZ shines, Its all about the hills!!!
