Best ATV For Mudding??

Default Best ATV For Mudding??

Well after surching for a while i got it narrowed down

kodiak 400 and 450
honda rancher 4x4
polaris sportsman???????
kawasaki praire
wolverine
big bear 350
banshee ????
rincon
grizz if i can afford it

i have to have 4x4 to get through this crap i have a recon and it just struggles lets just say theres always a 4x4 in front and behind me to get me out and my buds are gettin sick of pullin me out THANKS FOR THE HELP!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Default Best ATV For Mudding??

a banshee aint a 4x4 its 2 wheel drive and its a 2 stroke sport quad. I wouldnt think it would do to good in mud

I would think you can scratch off the wolverine, no true 4wd, and scratch off all that don't have IRS, low clearance hang you up.
That leaves:
Polaris Sportsman
Kodiak ?
Yamaha Grizzly
Honda Rincon- no low range?

my buddy's 450 kodiak goes very well .and the 05's have irs ..but my grizz goes alittle better .because of the irs. i make it thru alot more mude then him in 2 wheel

is it thick mud or soup? usually you can skim a sport right accross thick mud...

its that black icky mud i ride in the stripper pits its not soupy

this is no lie i ride a banshee . and it has a plus 2 axle and kenda knarleys on it , this year i went with a kid with a 2002 400 kodiack 4x4 to the top of a mountain , i went rite to the top up the hills an through swamps and everthing and the kid with the kodiack got stuck i had to tow it with the banshee out , needless to say he looked like a big mud ball after the banshee roosted him [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Not a good idea to pull other quads out with a banshee....i know i wouldnt.

polaris xplorer 400's are very good in the mud and can be found relatively cheap
