Default YFZ Slip on

[Yes i did a search]

Ok, have a few questions for you guys....

(1)I've finally convinced the "old man" to buy a slip on pipe, but if its only under $250. So i've got my choices narrowed down a bit. I like the HMF personally but one of the local dealers says LRD the other says GYTR. I'm also keeping my eyes open so i'm not totally stuck on these 3. They have to be spark arrestors mod & under 96db (state law)(with or without quiet cores) I'd perfer more low to midrange, top isn't a concern. Suggestions are helpful.

(2) While i was talking to our dealer he said the Pro-Design Kit would make the baby breath. But i looked at Alba and they have their version and its $60 cheaper! and it comes with a prefilter (need on because we ride sand) Is there a big difference between the two? is Pro Design worth it or is Alba going lead to have some problems?

Thanks

I would go with the GYT-R or the HMF slip on. Either one is a good pipe.

As for the filter....I would go with the Alba kit without question. It takes alittle work to get the pro design adapter installed, but it's a good set up. Thumbs up to Alba and HMF.

Nope nope nope......here is what you should do. Take that $250 and use it for getting your cam mod done (by someone who knows what they are doing), buy an ESR intake kit (won't work with an aftermarket rear shock, but if you still have the stock one, you are good to go!) which will open up all the intake restriction located in the intake boot (something the ProFlo won't do) and you get a huge K&N with it (the kits are around $60). Then.....take your stock muffler and cut it down to 61/2 inches and remove all the baffling - weld the end cap piece back on, and you will get way more power out of your quad than spending that $250 on an afermarket slip on. If you have some money left over, I'd also get a 15 tooth front sprocket - and there you go!!! I guarantee you will notice a huge difference..........way more for your money!!!!

Thanks for the input... 440girl cutting the pipe to 6 1/2in will most probably put over 105db out with now way to quiet it... That'll get me arrested Its pretty strick where i ride they made one guy i know get a hush kit for the banshee and almost gave him a ticket... So cutting the pipe isn't really a option...
