I had a similar problem. It turns over but it wont fire right? can you tow it to start? if so im gonna go out on a limb and say stator. My see if there is a way to test that thing. Cuz thats what it was on mine after i replaced everybit of electronix on it.

Thats what mine did. Turned over and over and over and wouldnt fire. But you could roll start it. Like i said though i dont know how to diagnose that its actually the stator. i just figured it out by replacing everything else. Wiring harness, Coil, Relays, Rectifier, CDI, Battery, and finally the Stator and i assembled it hit the start button and it started better than it ever had.

Im pretty sure the stator($160) is cheaper than the CDI. you could test your coil and trace your wires in your harnes and make sure none are rubbed raw anywhere.
