suspension?
#1
I am wanting to get new suspension, but I can't really decide on what to buy. Price is a factor, but not too big of one. I ride a lot of trails, but i like going to the track some too. I would really like to get elka, but it is very pricey. Any help would be appreciated.

i just got elka's on my raptor, they are amazing on bumps and trails, they definitly get the power to the ground
i've only just started testing them for jumping, i have been able to bottom them out but if i stay on the gas through the landing they work fine
and also i didn't crank up the compression all the way and try the jump again
i got triple rates up front w/out rezzi's and dual rate with remote rezzi in the rear, i am anxious to test them for jumping more i just don't have frequent access to jumps
gt40glamis@yahoo.com if u have any questions

You should bottom out on occasion when really pressing the suspension; This way you know that you are using all of the travel and not just part of it.Doesn't make sense to have 12 in. of travel but only use 6in.. AXIS or ELKA would be my 1st choice but, there are others like PEP,TCS,OHLINS and WORKS.....

Works shocks are a great trail and mild track shock. They are not as good as the elka's, but there is a considerable price difference. Most riders who do not race mx on a regular basis are happy with a nice set of works triple rates. For trail riding, I think they are the best buy.
