2 Strokes dont last long? Ive had 3 two stroke dirtbikes ( 1995 CR 80, 1998 RM 80 And A 2003 CR 125) and they all last about a year and a half of constant riding before a rebuild. I race and 2 strokes are alot quicker than the 4 strokes and get more air because of how light they are. It all depends on the rider which one gets around the track first.

How light they are?
There is less than a 10 pound difference!
Anyway, even though I prefer a 2 stroke dirt bike, the 4 strokes are becoming advanced and soon will be taking over. You do not see many 2-stroke used by the pros anymore. And for the raliability thing, my 2-strokes have been very reliable and they are a heck of a lot easier to fix.
