valve adjustment

Default valve adjustment

can anyone help me adjust my valves on my 98 wolvy without using a feeler gauge, like is there something else i might have lying around that is the same measurment or can i tighten the nuts all the way down and then do like a certain amount of turns out to get them to where they need to be?

No you wil need a feel gauge to do it. If you don't have one I would leave it alone untill you get one. They are not very expensive 5-10

I am curious too. thinking about doing mine. do u have to drain oil of anything like that or just take the valve covers off and check.

yea seems to start a little easier, but im still having my problems with it not responding to throttle, anyway no you dont need to drain oil, you take off the 2 allenbolts for the intake cover and slip your feeler gauge under there and loosen the lock nut then adjust as needed and then tighten the locknut and put your cover on, viseversa wit the exhaust valve but its 3 allenhead bolts, double check them once youve adjusted both
