Default time to bore, what isneeded??

i am almost ready to do a 727 bore for my raptor. i know a place that for 50$ i can get it bored, then ill buy a 11:1 piston. now what else is needed to run a 727, and where is the place to find those parts. i hear its wise to get a stronger connecting rod, and stuff like that. so please inform me on everythign needed to do thsi bore, thanks. also for 250$ can i get a 727 11:1 piston-a decent one?

I thought you had to have the cases machined for a 727.

Yes ..I believe Maddog56 is correct....A carillo rod is probably in order as well, what piston are you using?I also believe that the 727 has to be sleeved as well.also you may have to have the carberator reworked to feed that hog..or go with a 39mm fcr.I would also have the piston coated to keep the heat in the top end of the motor where it belongs....You should call Craycraft Racing,Kenz Cycle Tech, Sparks Racing or Robertsons and get some more info. They are all very knowledgable in this field.Hope your wallet is fat.

not that easy.........

cases must be machined
cylinder must be resleeved
stronger rod
balance crank
piston

just boring the cylinder won't get u much. You need to do several other things for best results. such as:
cam
porting
exhaust

I'm guessing between 28 to 36 +swingarms ,good Sparks x-6 or MBRP big core exhaust, chain, 22"paddles, rear sprocket, bigger carbs or reworked original, case saver, e.t.c....e.t.c....you don't need an 02 tranny upgrade so thats good.Call around and get some prices...all the builders listedbove are very helpfull
