Tire/rim size help
#1
I do nearly 100% trail riding on my '02 660 and it currently has stock front wheels/tires that are bent and leak down pretty fast and rear 22x11 ITP holshots on 0.190 10" ITP rims that are pretty new.
I need front rims bad and will be getting reinforced rims due to tight trails and me hitting a tree from time to time At the same time if I can swing it, I will get the same rims for the rear. What I need to know is if you folks go with a shorter tire and smaller rim size for trail rides? Here the trails are pretty tight, lots of trees, and ruts all over to get hung up in. There are also some open areas to let it all hang out in as well.

I have no idea about running re-inforced rims because I don't run them, but I heard Hyper beadlocks or something are a strong rim.
...also if you're a trail rider riding in ruts buy taller tires, like 22". Even though I run a 21" front and 20" rear I still ride trails with ruts fine. I guess it is all upto you.

Thanks. I mainly wanted to know if I would be better off sticking with my 10" rims. That way I can replace the front wheels/tires now and leave the rear alone until they wear out more.
Beadlocks are not on my "need" list at this point. They are far to pricey for ATV's IMO. I bought them for my 4x4 truck cheaper than ATV's ones cost.
