EBAY

I have had friends buy cars and other expensive stuff from eBay and it has turned out fine. However, I would never spend thousands of dollars over eBay. Unless it is near enough for me to drive and take a look at. 450ss has the right idea. But most of the time I would agree with DarkMan. lol, thats pretty confusing huh?

I just sold my Mule on Ebay, no problems. I have bought and sold many things on Ebay. If I was going to buy a atv on Ebay I would:
1) Look at the Sellers Location and when He/She created a account on ebay. If they are overseas or recently created account stay away.
2)Look at the Sellers feedback and other items bought/sold and date of last transaction.
3) I would only buy a high dollar item that I can pick up myself, so I would only consider items relativly close to me. If you buy something close to you then you can pay the whole amount when you pick it up. Don't pay anything if they offer to ship it to you. There are some dealers on there that say they will ship. Those might be ok, but I would crosscheck there name through Switchboard.com to ensure the dealer really exists.
Also never bid until the end.

I agree with what everyone has said here. DarkMan, it's always hard to tell. See I always avoid buying from people who have just registered with hardley any feedback. Cause you just don't know when some a$$ hole shows up to try and steal your money. But they the good people like you that are actually trying to be fair and honest get screwed. So that just goes back to the theory of buying something within driving distance.
