05 450 kodiak

although i only have 24 miles on my kodiak the majority is rough terrain and mud. the irs is smoothing out rocks and tree roots very well. the locking diff. is making some difficult rutty hills very easy. the only change i made on the suspension was to bump the front shocks to #3 on the preload(#2 is stock). i had 27" mudlites the first 8 miles on it, but the ride was terrible and sapped a lot of power. the stock maxxis tires are doing very well but will try to find some 26" polaris take off tires. 05 kodiak owners please share some of your comments. thanks, loafie

i have an 05 kodiak 400 camo, the only complaint i have is the thing is noisy...i have had it 3 weeks and have complained about a knocking noise that increases in volume and speed with rpm....took it to two different yamaha dealers and they both said it was normal ,they basically told me thats how that engine and trans combination sounds.its still hard to get used to, i guess for 6400..00 dollars i was expecting it to be quieter . oh yeah and the rear brakes squeak when not applied:
