Default Raptor axle nut torque spec?

Anyone know the torque spec for the 02-04 Raptor rear axle nut? What about for the locking screw? Do you use any loctite?

1. tighten the inner nut to 40lbs against the sprocket

2. while holding the inner nut tighten the outter nut against the inner nut to 140lbs

3. while holding the outter nut, loosen the inner nut, thereby tightening it against the outter nut to 170lbs.

I dont use loctite, but you can. I do make sure to retighten it after I ride around for a few minutes though.

I believe the 02-present Raptors use a single nut with a locking screw (like the YZF450). Only the 01 Raptor used the dual nuts. I'm interested in the 02-present arrangement.

FYI. The YZF450 specs are 72 ft.lbs and 5.1 ft.lbs

Been so long since I removed a stock axle I had forgotten.

I dont torque it to a specific spec, I tighten it down with a large cresent or pipe wrench with a short cheater bar. Then I go ride around for a bit, and then I put the wrench back on and I stand on the wrench, about 175 pounds.

Quick tip, pick up a manual. They are all over the internet for free.

My 04 still had two nuts and outer nut have a set screws. I replace axle with DuraBlue which use one with set screws.
For original nuts you need torgue inner nut to 41 ft-lb, after that hold inner one and torgue outer one to 140ft-lb.
Make streight line across both nuts and hold outer one and torgue inner against outer one by 177ft-lb. Distance between lines
must be on models 2001 15 mm (0.6 in) on 2002 -on distance must be only 3mm(0.12 in) after that torgue set screws to 33in-lb.
But I think DuraBlue sell a one nut which will replace OEM two nuts system much easy to work with . I believe I saw that on rockymountainatv web page.
I take this from clymer manual. Hope will help.
