Put the atv on a crate or something...
-loosen chain adjustment system.
-remove chain.
-remove rear wheels and hubs.
-remove brake (don't hit the pedal once removed)
-loosen/remove the axle lock nuts.
-slide off the sprocket carrier.
-use a rubber mallet to tap the axle out of the bearing carrier. It should slide right out unless your bearings are shot as well.

The problem is, it may not be that easy. I'm trying to get my axle off of my warrior right now and have all external parts off, but cant get it to move out of the bearing housing for my life. Any advice would be appreciated, just post in this forum. That thing is really making me mad.

when I hade to replace my axle for my wolverine i beleive it only came out one way. find the right direction. get a mid sized hammer, the a 2 by 4 peice of wood. put on the end of the axle hit it lightly with the hammer harder each time untill it moves. the wood help to cut down on the shock so you don't put flat spons on your bearings. if you are replaceing them and thae axle any way I don't beleive that a little brute force would hurt it. that is just my two sents. here is something that helped me copy and paste this link. its online microfiche(micro film). it's the right year too.

Yeah...that's why I put the last line in.

Sometimes they can be a real pain to get out. There is not much you can do except try to hit it a few times...once it breaks free, it will slide right out.

I believe the warrior axle slides out to the right when your standing behind it.
