Default Raptor Jetting

I have a 04 raptor 660R with a Big Gun Race series slip-on, Pro power kit witht the K&N modified the air-box cutting out the little flap in the snorkle, etc. just like recommended in the Dyno-Jet kit. I replaced the jets (I'm at 2,000 feet) springs, needles kept the clips on the same position as stock, turned out the screws three full turns. Same as the directions. But the big difference is I'm still running with the airbox lid on. It runs great with the lid on as your already breathing better when you cut out that intake flap. So try it with the lid back on. If not replace your plug and run 93 octane only to see if it helps.

Isn't greyish/white running too lean? do you backfire bad when you let off the throttle?

Sorry if I don't make sense I'm kind of having heavy thoughts.

I'm running the Dyno-jet 144 in the left146 in the right mixture screws 3 turns out. This is the same info Bosch gave you except he is running a full exhaust so his jetting is greater. Are you running with the lid on? Does it sound like a lot of backfire when you let of the throttle?

i am running the ct sonic pipe and header, k&n proflow kit, airbox lid off, and 170-175 jets. it runs really good with just a little back fire. the only thing is i got every thing from ct racing and it didnt come with much for instructions. what does adjusting the floats do?

IMO...The dynojet kit doesn't work good with the lid off. You should go back to 170/175 mains and put the stock needles and springs back in. It won't be as fat and you'll have better top end performance. If it is too fat still, try leaning the needles. If still too fat, go down a step on the mains.

This worked for me.

Adjusting the floats is goofy. I'd put them back.

I assume you are using the ct needles on the 3rd clip. Make sure to adjust the air/fuel screws as well. I've never had to touch my floats but I probably should.
