Default Need a Raptor 660 engine

I need an Engine for my Buddy's Raptor. We cannot get oil pressure back. We are tired of messing with it. We just want to replace the motor and sell it. Let me know if you have one that you want to sell.

Thanks!!

You are probably better off selling the chassis and buying another.

There are a few motors for sale in the classifieds. If not here then on the B L U E T R A X X forum.

It would probably be less expensive to take it into a good shop and have them debug your oil pressure problem. AJ's Performance on 9th Ave and
Deer Valley Road has always done right by me and they have been surprisingly inexpensive. You will recognize AJ and the other older guy in the shop since they used to work at the old Yamaha/Suzuki shop when they were on Cave Creek Road.

This engine has a clatter to it. It don't sound good at all. Who knows the extent of the damage of not getting oil.

If we pressurize the oil tank and turn the motor over, we get oil out of the cam bleeder. But, it wont pump oil on its own. We have blown out everywhere we can think of. She just wont pump.

The oneway had been grinding for over a year. I think chunks from it migrated around the engine and caused a blockage or got wedged in the oil pump.

Also, the trans intermittantly wont shift out of first. This engine will cost big money to fix, i think.

Complete engines have been selling from about $750 to about $1800 on ebay depending on the year and hours. If we can get an engine under $1000, we will probably be much better off.

Ebay had a few this last month. We were thinking we could fix the motor when these were selling. Now, it is time to give up and replace the motor.
