Default Jetting question for Raptor

Ok, I got an 01' in the process of rebuilding. Instead of doing a 690, I am just going to go with a 10.5:1 compression, with my White Brothers Slip-on. I wanted to know what main jet and pilot I am going to need for it???? Also, i dont' know if it matters, I am doing the 4 degree keyway from Vito's Performance. SO, any help would be great.

Thanks

Degree key? On a raptor? Why?

You cant know for sure what mains you will need. Stock needles may be ok, it depends on your air filter setup.

With the degree key from Vito's performance, you pick up at least 2 HP. My air filter setup is kind of a custom setup. I have only seen a handful of these, and they are mostly on Banshees. I have the front part, (where the carb boots come into it) cut out, with two thin wall aluminum tubes coming from the boots, into two round K&N filters.

You will be the second person I've ever seen run a degree key.

Your pilots and needles should be ok but you may need a couple sizes bigger for the mains.

What is so wrong with the degree key?? I mean, is it going to cause problems?? I am rebuilding it right now, or here this next week, and I am doing the valves and all that, so is it going to cause problems??

For $20, to pick up 2 horsepower, tell me it isnt worht it?

I havent tried it personally so I cant say. I will say that no one else seems to be running them, so there may be something to that. It was my understanding that timing changes didnt help performance much on a raptor unless you are running funny fuel.

Almost every single person that I have met that owns a raptor, with any type of mod done to it, pepe, piston, intake, etc.... has had a degree kit put on it. Once all of those things are on and in sync with eachother, it runs like hell. Fast as hell too......

Here is the website.................: Vitosperformance.net, you might have to e-mail them for the specs, the specs they show are for the banshee.

Click on online shopping, then raptor, then scroll down a bit and you will find it.

Thanks
