Default QUESTION ON COMPRESION .....

My buddy just bought a banshee and I went over and checked the compresion on it and it was 170 psi .....but the thing is, is that he is runnin regular pump fuel .... should he be runnin 110 or aviation fuel or what? .. thanks Austin

I would run nothing less than 100 octane, whether it be av gas or race gas, your choice.

That does sound a lot higher than stock compression![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

We and our friends have used Av-Gas for years in the motors that actually needed it as it provides excellent protection against detonation, while saving a lot of $$!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Sometimes Av-Gas can make the throttle response a little lazy, but many forward their timing to make up for it.
