Can anyone tell me the easy to spot differences in the 660 Raptor from when it started to now (if any ?) please or was it only colour schemes ?

I was part of a thread that stated all the colors of every year including LE models. Thats a good place to search for it. Use my username and search the yamaha forum. It was a long thread and there were a few changes in the consensus.

First off, those are internal modifications and you could not use those things to distinguish two different quads unless you had them both in pieces.

And the transmission was changed in 02, the one way was changed, but only one of the parts, not the assembly.

I dont do a lot of mud riding, but I do a little. I just wash it with soap and water like the rest of the bike, and I dont think the bike has been washed for at least a month. I've never even polished it, guess I'm lucky.

But thats not very easy to see, but at least you can without dissasembling the engine. The remote rear shock on the 01 would be a good tell tale sign as well.

No problem.

Thanks for the faulty and almost completely irrelevant info.
