Wolverine snow plow
#1
I just bought a 2004 wolverine and want to put a snow plow on it. I also would like to run it with a winch instead of manual. Does anybody have this set up on there wolverine? If so which plow and winch did you go with and how much am I looking at?

I have done all the research for you my friend as I have a 2004 Wolverine I'm about to setup with a plow. I think the best bet is either the 48" Warn plow or the 50" Moose regular plow. The wolvy doesn't have big power like the 500cc and up quads, therefore stay away from the 60" and county plows.
Reason I'm not going with Cycle County is the lift height on the manual lift is only about 6", where Warn and Moose claim lift heights in the 12" range.
Can't help you too much with a winch setup for plowing, but two friends have plows, one with a winch, one with a manual lift, and the manual lift is much better to manipulate the snow when plowing as if moves as fast as your arm lifts it. What I'm saying is that if you are nearing the burm of snow at the end of a driveway you can start lifting the manual lift and the plow will not get overwhelmed with tons of snow. The winch/actuator move much slower.
Anyway, the setup will vary in price. I'm going to buy local cause shipping can get expensive, but I think the price for everything should be between $400-$500. If interested in warn, visit www.gowarn.com.
Hope this helps.

I have a big bear and i push a 5ft cycle country state blade with a 4000 lb winch // personally i like cycle country, but thay are all good// there is a fairly new company called TUSK that has the whole setup with a 1500 tusk winch and a 48"? blade and everything u need for about $400. I think its in the new dirtwheels magazine. The Wolvy cant push as much as the big bear, but it will handle a 50" fairly well. I think the tusk products are on www.rockymountainatv.com

I have a 48 inch Country Cycle with a winch lift, and i love it. I was really impressed with how much my Wolverine pushed last year. So this year I am getting side extensions made for it. I will make them so they will bolt on, so when the real heavy wet snow comes I will be able to remove them. I would recommend getting a winch anyway, they come in handy when on the trails when either you or a buddy is stuck in the mud. I have no complaints about my 2000 pound superwinch lifting the blade slowly, it does it fast enough for me.

I just bought a used wolverine with a 1500 whinch on it. I was wondering what kind of plow set up and plow i will need for the whinch to make the whinch pull it up and down. I am also wondering what the price will be around.
