Spark Plug and Grease
#1
I have an 02 raptor and I am getting water around my spark plug. Has anyone heard of putting grease around the plug to keep the water out. I do a lot of riding in the creek, and wondered what anyone has heard about this?

You will have to forgive me. What do you mean by the boot? Do you put the spark plug in then pack the grease around the plug wire?? I am not sure what you are talking about by the boot. Sorry for the question... just curious.

Yes, put the grease either on the tip of the plug and slide the wire on, or put the grease inside of the wire.
I am assuming your plug wire has a rubber "boot" that covers the end of the plug? If water gets inside of this boot
then it will basically steal the spark from the wire and not let it get to the spark plug. Putting grease on the contact
area of the plug and wire should help keep the water away. Just make sure its non-cunductive grease.
Hope this helps, I`m not real good at explaining stuff.
