My cousin and I just bought new Big Bears and my wife bought a new BearTracker. We are very pleased with them but we are having some problems when we ride in water. The area where we ride has a creek that for the most part is shallow, however in some areas, we encounter holes that are pretty deep. On one of the Big Bears and the Bear Tracker, if you ever get in deep water, they have a hard time pulling from then on. The first time we encountered this both ATVS had water in the air box. After getting the water out, they ran fine but we were out of the water from then on. The next time, one of the Big Bears started bogging every time we would cross the creek. If you just eased along it wouldn't bog, but if you ever hit the water fast, it would stall. The airbox didn't have water in it at all this time. Can anyone give me suggestions for how to avoid this problem and exactly what the cause is. Thanks for the info!

Try removing the sparkplug boot and putting some dielectric grease in the boot then replace on the plug. The grease is available at most autoparts stores. Try a NAPA if there is one in your town. All the serious mudrunners I know use the dielectric gease on electrical connections too.
