Default Raptor with a problem

I have a 2003 Raptor that has developed a terrible squeak in the rear when you sit on it or the rear shock compresses or moves. I cannot tell if it is coming from shock or shock mount. Has anyone experienced this and if you have, What caused it or a fix.

Thanks

That happened to me too, it was the zerk fitting under the swingarm skid plate. I had to stand the quad on its rear and take off the skidplate to be able to get to the fitting.

There like a hyme (sp) joint, a little ball in the center of each end of the shock. Remove the shock bolt and turned the ball sideways in the shock put grease on it while rotating it in the shock and put it back together with the bolt tight and no more squeek.

Do what sixsixt says. It also helps if after every wash, you grease every zirc and/or hit all your pivot points with WD40 and some lithium grease.

If you're riding your quad in extremely dusty conditions without having lubed the shocks and pivots, dust and heat build up will cause these spots to squeak.
