I have a 2003yamaha big bear 4x4, and i was thinking of buying 27" itp 589s/ i ride mostly on hard sharp rocks and in deeep snow. Do u think this tire is right for me, and what is the biggest tire i can put on my quad and how will it handle/ i was also thinking of getting a 2" lift kit, will my quad be very tippy with big tires and an extra 2 inches.
Thanx

that is going to be realy heavey for a 400. if I were you I would go with the 26" or the 25"s. the 27"s are 30 lb each thats alot. the 25"s are 25 lb. these are very good tires, but I think what you are looking for is this. this tire is very good in snow great in mud and is made for very rocky terain. click here for that tire. or you might want to go with the mud lite even youl save about 5 - 8 lb on each tire for the same size. if you do get tall tire and a lift kit you might want to get some spacers. click here for the spacers.

27's are too big for a 400 you'll lose too much power.

I would 25's or 26's at the most.

The big bear is geared extremely low though, and with aftermarket rims beezy could save some weight no? he told me hes been looking at 6ply bc we plow together in the winter they should be better on the road no? How bout this... sure hes got a pipe and filter, but this is INSANE>>>

he would save some weight but he will not have the power he needs to plow the snow if he puts on 27.

I need to keep the power, but i would like to get some speed// My stock tires are in very good condition, so i think i will get a lift kit know and tires in the spring,/ will chains help in the snow, or are they really for ice// i still need tires and suggestions/

Thanx
