It looks like you race sand flat's in your pic's. So I would think 13/40(stock) would be fine. If you want some more low end then go down to a 12/40 but that will take away from your top speed. If you want to be geared higher/faster, then go up to a 14/40.

I get very good results with a 12/44 combination but i also do all my sand drags up hill and i run 22"tires.It is just my opinion but i believe that the loss of top end speed with lower gearing is worth it considering you gain so much bottom end and very few races require the higher speed that you can achieve with the higher gearing that some run.

the 12/44 you speak of is pretty low, but turning 22" paddles can command a lot of power.
The reason for higher gearing isnt just for higher top speeds. You also get higher speeds in each gear, which when geared correctly, can significantly increase drag times.

In your signature you indicate you have a "race cam" and other work. Generally "race cams" are much more RPM specific and gearing must be tailored for the engine too run within this narrow RPM range. This means lower gearing. This is exactly what I had too do when I installed my stage 2 hot cam to take full advantage of the cam. I wound up going from 14/40 gearing too 12/42 gearing with 20" tall tires for my situation. Gearing has to match the engine power range, type of riding, conditions and terrain.
