CRACK IN MY ENGINE CASE??

on the bottom of my ATV i am noticing a lot of hairline cracks. any one ever get this?? it dose not seem to b a problem but why is is caused? thank you!

It could be the case moldings when they were made. I thought I had them too until I found this out.
