My wifes 04 660Raptor wont start, HELP!
OK, it looks like I may need to pull the float bowl's....but that dont look nearly as easy as on my Baja X.
Could use some advise from those of you in the know, Do I need to pull the whole carb out to get them off ? And if so, how much other stuff needs to come off to get to it, plastics, gas tank , etc ???????
Thanks

Ohh good times... neccesary = Front fenders, seat, tank... to make it all easier = rear fenders and airbox. Git r naked. Raptors suck for carb access its the most retarded design anyone could have ever concieved. WTF did the designers not think people would change anything or the bikes would require carb maintanance?

Just take the front plastic off, gas tank and carb cover (rubber). Pull the carbs out of the boots, flip them over and lay it on top of the motor (Rubber cover on top of the head). No need to disconnect the cables from the carb. No need to take the rear plastic off. Removing the air box will be helpful. A pain the first time but easier the next times if you cut the pointy part of the t!ts off that go into the holes, you'll understand when your taking the air box out. If your going to completely clean the carbs then you'll want to remove the cables and take the carbs all the way out. Otherwise its a 45 minute job taking your time. I know it's not the couple minute job like on the DS but it is what it is.
